Valid image formats

jpg, png, gif

If you upload a GIF, it will keep its animation.

Invalid image formats

webp (If your image has this format, knowtion will notify you that the image cannot be uploaded due to its format.)

Recommended image size

The image size (number of pixels) also has a big impact on a clean display. You should especially check screenshots to make sure they’re large enough.

Minimum size: As a rule of thumb, the fewer pixels an image has, the more “blurry” it will look. Especially for screenshots, keep an eye on making sure the selected section has a sufficient number of pixels.

Maximum size: 5000Px X 5000Px. If your image exceeds this size, knowtion will notify you that the image cannot be uploaded due to its size.

IMPORTANT: knowtion creates responsive trainings, so there is NO fixed image size that can be used. The image always adapts to the learners’ screen size.

Display options

In knowtion there are two ways you can add images:

“Fit image”: By default, this is active. This makes sure that the entire image content is always shown completely. Because the trainings are responsive, any gaps that might appear are filled with a blurred version of the image. If you don’t want this, you can alternatively “remove background”. Parts of the page that are not covered by the inserted image are then filled with whitespace or with the background color / background image you defined.

“Scale image”: Alternatively, you can have your image scaled so that your image fills the entire available image area. The image is scaled and, if needed, cropped at the edges.
